Team 202: Racing Car Airflow Simulation on the Advania Data Centers Cloud

Team 202The aim of this UberCloud Experiment #202 was to run a well-known ANSYS Fluent racing car benchmark on the newly developed HPE IaaS 1.0 cloud software stack providing HPCaaS and implemented on the Advania Data Centers HPCFLOW cloud, and to proof that this cloud platform is go-to-market ready. The project involved evaluating the racing car performance and the external air flow using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach. The racing car CAD model with a dummy driver is modelled and used for this experiment. The CFD models were generated in the ANSYS 19.0 environment and the simulations platform was built in a 128-core HPC cluster in the Advania Data Center cloud. Read case study 202 HERE.
